That is hilarious! You know, I didn't know that Bird's nest soup was actually literally Bird's Nest Soup. I thought it was just a cute euphemism. Well, I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food (I've had horse, and all sorts of raw squiggly things while living in Japan) but I think I'm with you - I'd certainly want to make sure it was thoroughly disinfected....I mean cooked :-)
