Well, I set up an account which was not too difficult. I decided to follow a number of sites including the BPL which seems to have had its last posting on 21 July - is that correct? In any event, I also posted a tweet and that showed up on my screen, but who knows where else! To be honest, I do not really understand how one keeps updated with Twitter other than by going to their website and scrolling all the responses that others have posted to that individual, which seems quite tedious.
Although I am somewhat leery of social networking generally, "the jury is still out" until I become more acquainted with the various protocols.
One thing we should have mentioned is that the search box for twitter is not very good. I find it better to look for an organization or group online and find their twitter handle on their website and follow from there. We've had loads of people say they can find lots of other BPLs out there, but not ours. Something we'll definitely have to change.
